The scientists at FoCoSS Forensics are the only criminalists in the world who have achieved multiple international certifications in the forensic disciplines of fingerprints, firearms, tool marks and gunshot residue.

Marc Dupre - Focoss Forensics Marc E. Dupre

Prior to immersing himself full-time into FoCoSS Forensics in December of 2019, Marc Dupre had over 24 years of forensic experience as a civilian scientist with the New Hampshire State Police Forensic Laboratory in Concord, New Hampshire, an ANAB ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.  He was employed as the Supervisor and Technical Manager for the Firearms/Toolmark Unit, the Supervisor and Technical Manager for the Identification Unit and the Supervisor for the Evidence Control Unit.  He is certified by the International Association for Identification (IAI) as a Certified Latent Print Examiner.  Additionally, he is certified by the Association of Firearm and Tool Mark Examiners (AFTE) in the areas of Firearms Examination, Tool Mark Examination and Gunshot Residue/Distance Determination.

Marc's areas of expertise include:  Firearms Evaluation and Testing; Bullet and Cartridge Case Comparisons; Tool and Toolmark Examination and Comparisons; Shooting Scene Reconstruction; Powder and Primer Gunshot Residue; Range of Shooting Distance Determination; Obliterated Serial Number Restoration; Latent Impressions (finger, palm and foot friction ridge skin); Patent Blood Impression Enhancement; Physical/ Fracture Match; Indented Writing Restoration; Questionable Pattern Interpretation; Drug Chemistry; and Glass Examination.  He has worked over 3000 cases in his career and testified in numerous state and federal courts for both the prosecution and defense.

Stephen Ostrowski

Stephen Ostrowski - Focoss Forensics Stephen Ostrowski has over 25 years of forensic experience as a civilian scientist with the New Hampshire State Police Forensic Laboratory in Concord, New Hampshire, an ANAB ISO/IEC 17025 accredited  laboratory, where he is currently the Supervisor for the Pattern Evidence Unit.  He also serves as the Technical Manager for the specialties of Friction Ridge, Firearm/Toolmark, and Crime Scene Processing.  Steve is certified by the International Association for Identification (IAI) as a Certified Latent Print Examiner.  Additionally, he is certified by the Association of Firearm and Tool Mark Examiners (AFTE) in the areas of Firearms Examination, Tool Mark Examination and Gunshot Residue/Distance Determination.  Steve is the past-Chair and current member of the AFTE Certification Committee.  Since 2011, Steve is an anjunct instructor in the Master's in Biomedical Forensic Sciences program at Boston University School of Medicine teaching the Pattern Evidence course.
